Description:

The Problem occurs when you focus the text box on Duckduckgo's search results index.
Duckduckgo uses css selectors on the html tag where the filter scripts overrides the style which probably collides with the dynamic dom change which renders the page completely blank.
If i negate the specific filters, the text box shows the auto correct div as designated and nothing of the dom gets corrupted.

for very wide monitors it might become cumbersome to read text that is stretched over the whole screen. this doesn't mean you have to limit the width though. there are handy css attributes that automatically spread text over multiple collumns

So today I learned that GitHub threads max out at 2,500 comments, despite nothing and no one ever telling me about that previously, let alone GitHub's help pages. So here's thread number 2!

This thread is a megathread about adblock discussions in general. Here one can request syntax help, reproduction confirmations, info about differences between adblockers, assistance with making new lists, and so on. They'll be answered or considered by the biggest Adfilt contributors, and occasionally by members of the uBlock Origin development team (although in an unofficial fashion). (This header section was last updated on the 24th of April 2019 by DandelionSprout.)

Same non-obligatory rules apply as in the previous thread (Rules can be amended by Dandelion Sprout on very short notice, but this happens pretty rarely):

• Anything ad-, adblocker-, and adblocking-related of any sort goes.
• (Modified 04/08/2020) Temporary derails and jokes/puns derived from adblock topics are permitted. Bringing up random stuff apropos of nothing is not recommended.
• Political discussions are only permitted if they are directly related to something adblock-related.
• Disclosing personal opinions about everyday topics (e.g. family life, non-tech worklife, strong political stances, pizza toppings) is normally discouraged, on the assumption that it could lead to thread participants losing some of their respect for one another.

I like your list Wikia: Pure Browsing Experience, but I have an issue with it. This rule in it adds styles that widen the body text to fill the width of the window:

I find that this makes the articles hard to read. The problem with long lines is that the eye can get lost when looking for the beginning of the next line. The book Practical Typography recommends lines of length 45–90 characters, while with your style I get lines with as many as 170 characters.

I have some other nits about how I would change those custom style rules, but I don’t think they’re worth getting into. This is because I assume that since you have been using that full-width style for so long, you’re not interested in replacing it with whatever non-full-width styles I will come up with to make Fandom.com more readable.

Therefore, I only request that you move the custom styles from the “Widens the article bodies” section into another filter list or into a user style, leaving “Wikia: Pure Browsing Experience” with only the ad-blocking rules. That would free me from having to maintain my own fork of your ad-blocking rules. Such a fork would be identical but with the custom styles changed or removed.

If you agree with the idea of splitting out those styles but want help implementing it, I can make a pull request removing those styles from that filter list and editing the description to remove the mention of fixing “narrow article bodies”. I would leave it to you to create a new filter list with only those styles, though, because only you can decide what header comments (title, description, attribution, etc.) you want at the top.

• Visit touch.facebook.com to get (not so) near experience of their bloated app without installing one or bunch of them, and keep using on this subdomain.

  • You may get same redirect as it happen on mbasic.facebook.com, but if you can use some trick to bypass, a seamless transition/navigation become stuck due to it mostly redirect their AJAX/XHR to mobile.facebook.com, rather than stay on same subdomain.

Cosmetic filtering blocks the "salesposter" for subscription articles.
This results in strangely abrupted page layouts, that gives you the impression that the pages haven't loaded properly, or has some type of error on them.

Since this was removed from your file DNSBL blocks all dns-lookups to all domains included in this file, which means quite a lot of sites gets broken. This file is probably automatically included in pfblockerng because it is part of easylist.

This is the big question... I was trying looking around, but first off... you have more than a few to select from 😩

Secondly, most of my submission, is about tracking and then ads.

A domain i personally have blocked on my public facing DNS is tv2a.dk as it appears only to be used for serving ads/tracking code. I don't ever never using this BLIIP site, but was looking into it in other matter (Dansk). At my test i had no issue blocking tv2a.dk so give it a try
