cyberbot_ii's Issues

detected false positive

@cyberpower678
i have run bot and one resiult is incorrect, see diff.

center4research is not permanent dead, archive is available.

milbank is error 301, however the issue is on their end, i sent mail "Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Call to a member function getParent()" for the article hyperlink.

perhaps i misunderstood your bot or how to use it, please look into it.

Descriptions for the localization

Please provide proper descriptions for the localizations, qqq.json is full of way to superficial descriptions, preferably also make a glossary so the strings are standardized.

InternetArchiveBot setup and requirements

I am trying to test InternetArchiveBot for use in a private wiki. Is the bot hardcoded for Wikipedia only? How do I specify the wiki address, setup the bot account on the wiki, etc.?

I have read the documentation page at https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/InternetArchiveBot. Is this the only documentation page? It would be great to write a requirements section. Like does it require a MySQL database, Apache web server, and what else?

add in README instructions how this bot may be used

I wated to run "Checking the archives if a link already exists, and if it doesn't request archiving into the Wayback Machine." for some articles in plwiki (as I expect that it will be better than manually requesting archiving pages for many, many links) but I see no documentation whatsoever how this code may be used.

For example - what are requirements? How this bot may be started? Is it a suitable tool for processing several articles or is it tool optimized for processing millions of articles, with complicated setup?

How to run and develop locally

I tried to deploy and research this project but encountered some problems during login.

  • Error retrieving token: mwoauthserver-consumer-owner-only, is it impossible to support for automatic approvaled OAuth app? Any possible for adding a test-only mode to login?
  • Needs a "callback" URL when propose a public OAuth app, how to get it? and should I do this?
