cybergis-jupyter-for-water-bug-reporting's Issues

Cannot display widgets. "Error displaying widget: model not found"

Expected Behavior
I would like to visualize the geemap widget, but am unable to within any selected environment.

Current Behavior
Depending on environment, running code to display widget either shows "Error displaying widget: model not found" or "Widget loading..." with no end.

Test bug reporting
I encountered this issue on another system installed with Jupyterlab 3.2.6 and solved it by upgrading the Jupyterlab version to 3.3. I was unable to find a combination of package dependencies that supported widget display in 3.2.6.

Steps to Reproduce
import sys, site

!pip install -U geemap
sys.path.insert(0, site.getusersitepackages())

import ee
import geemap

try:
ee.Initialize()
except Exception as e:
ee.Authenticate()
ee.Initialize()

Map = geemap.Map(center=[40,-100], zoom=4)
Map

Context (Environment)
Preferred environment is RHESSys-2022-03, but is not working in any environment.
