Input ignored on Windows, Godot 3.4.4

When I tried to use this addon on Godot 3.4.4, Windows 10 x64 and using a SpaceMouse Wireless, nothing will happen when I move the mouse.

How can I troubleshoot this and possibly help with a solution?

Steps taken:

  • Download the latest release from GitHub (1.4.2)
  • Extract the addon folder in my project
  • Enable the plugin in the project settings
  • Restart Godot
  • Disable navigation controls in the 3DConnexion software
  • Test the mouse in both object and camera mode

Can't load addon in Godot 4

I'm not sure if this add-on has support for Godot 4, but when I try to load it into my project I get the message:

Unable to load addon script from path: 'res://addons/spacemouse/SpaceMouse.gd'. This might be due to a code error in that script.
Disabling the addon at 'res://addons/spacemouse/plugin.cfg' to prevent further errors.

The Output console gives the following information:

  res://addons/spacemouse/SpaceMouse.gd:3 - Parse Error: Unexpected "Identifier" in class body.
  modules/gdscript/gdscript.cpp:870 - Method/function failed. Returning: ERR_PARSE_ERROR
  Transient parent has another exclusive child.
  core/config/project_settings.cpp:319 - Property not found: editor_plugins/enabled
  res://addons/spacemouse/SpaceMouse.gd:3 - Parse Error: Unexpected "Identifier" in class body.
  modules/gdscript/gdscript.cpp:870 - Method/function failed. Returning: ERR_PARSE_ERROR
  Transient parent has another exclusive child.

I am using the Alpha 11 build (Windows), if there is any help needed to get this going on Godot 4 I would gladly help with this.

Addon not working on Ubuntu 20.04.4 with Godot 3.5

I followed the installation instructions, including enabling the addon and copying the udev rules. I see the "Space" UI panel, but there is no response to Space Mouse input. It works as expected in Blender.

In the Space UI, I tried camera and object mode. I tried unplugging and re-plugging the Space Mouse receiver, and I tried running the udevadm commands you specify.
