ARC9-GSR

Also know as Gunsmith Reloaded, a sequel or rework or remake whatever it is to the infamous and controversial and loved GSO using ARC9 with the current things are the follow below.

Current Features:

  • Alot of attachments/customizations (With most of it provided from INS:S, they're just that good looking)
  • Returning of previous attach/customizations choices from GSO
  • Sticker/Skins support to all weapons
  • Addition of the cut weapons from old versions of CS:GO (Such as the M3 and the Steyr Scout and many others)
  • Overall improved rig (No more floaty hands, these hands are made to hold weapons, not air)
  • Improved overall weapon animations
  • New overall animations for some of the weapons (Courtesy of CturiX & Mytton)
  • Akimbos (With lots of variants)
  • UBGLs
  • And alot more that i completely forgot

Explosion particles creating artifacting

When explosion particle effects are created by GSR's weapons/equipment, an unusual particle effect appears at a specific part of the map (presumably the origin) with missing textures in place of sprites. The artifacting becomes more intense if multiple explosions occur and/or if viewed from different angles, creating giant glitchy "planes" of missing textures that stretch across the map. This issue occurs with:
-Frag grenades
-Claymores
-Landmines
-M203 Grenades
-Breach Charges

Notably, this does not seem to be an issue with all particles added by GSR; other things (smoke grenades, flashbangs, c4, etc.) with their own particles do not have this problem.

Black Screen on Map Load

Maps that break when using this mod:

When loading any map other than the first one (shoot_bang1) included in this pack the screen stays black. I've narrowed it down to just this addon that is causing this issue.

How to reproduce this issue:

  1. Subscribe and enable to the Shoot Bang Campaign Map Pack (https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2722052799)
  2. Subscribe and enable to the latest version of ARC9 Weapon Base, and ARC9-GSR.
  3. Load map shootbang_2
  4. Map will now display a black screen, intro text will still display above map.

Attachments don't load

ARC9:GetPhrase() is in arc9/shared which is loaded after the attachments in arc9/common.

C4 Explosion Error Message

Hello, I'm having a small problem when using the "C4 Explosive". Everything else is fine, however when I try to detonate the C4, I get this message, any feedback/fixing would be appreciated, thank you and keep up the good work! :))

M203 sight Lua error

This error occurs when attempting to switch to the M203 sights in ADS. This doesn't occur with no extra sights attached. (This might be a base issue.)

TPIK question

The third person weapon does not hang up when the round is finished, but you can see the weapon hang up in the first person, only when the round is finished ,press reload then you can see the third person weapon hang up few sconds

HP ammo does infinite damage

Hollow point ammunition seems to do an infinite amount of damage. I have uninstalled every other addon I have to ensure it isn't some weird damage multiplier thing from another addon, yet the issue seems to persist. You can one-shot Hunters, Hunter-Choppers, and Striders with it. I have also been instakilled by NPCs using hollow points.

Does this work with the steam workshop version of arc9?

Bugs and Issues (Relatively Large Edition)

These are issues I discovered while playing around with the guns, some of them may be already known, others may not be

  • In the Trivia section for the SCAR-17, it says it's chambered for 5.56x45mm NATO when the base model is actually chambered for 7.62x51mm
  • When the carry handle is equipped on the M4A1-S without the M16 barrel length, the front sight is too far forward
  • The M4A4 drum magazine's actual in-game capacity is 45 rounds instead of 50 (it is fine for the M4A1-S)
  • When equipping a muzzle break on the M4A4, it looks a bit odd because the default flash hider doesn't go away
  • The M4A4 has a strange side rail model when a tactical attachment is attached
  • When there's an optic installed on any gun and the M203 with its sights is installed, the aiming for the M203 breaks completely and doesn't use the sights
  • When the SCAR-20 doesn't have a scope or optic attached (so when using iron sights) the crosshair appears while aiming with it
  • The Dual MP9s and Dual Sawed Offs don't have functioning camos
  • Dual Sawed Offs have a blank HUD icon
  • The Dual Sawed Offs don't display stickers (and possibly other personalisation options) in third person
  • The MP9's 20 round magazine has a 21 round capacity (22 with +1 in the chamber)
  • The UMP45's 12 round magazine has a 15 round capacity when equipped
  • G3SG1 60 round NATO casket magazine has a 30 round capacity

I'll be posting screenshots of some of the issues in the replies below if need be in the future, thanks for making this incredible pack

MAC-10 shouldn't be able to chamber an extra round

I know gun pedantry like this is the most obnoxious shit ever, but still; the MAC-10 holds an extra round if reloaded while not completely empty, but due to realistically being an open bolt weapon it can't do that. (Funnily enough, the inspect animation for it even shows this- you can peek inside the action.)

Additionally, the trivia section lists its caliber as 5.56 NATO, but I'm assuming that'll be touched up with the recent wave of commits relating to weapon trivia.

GenRas F Attachment automatically detaches

Exactly what it says on the title, equipping the attachment results in it being detached a frame later regardless of weapon or other attachments on the weapon. Only tested this on the latest commit version, so no clue if the Workshop version is also affected.

Subatts do not work in multiplayer

Most likely caused by the following error:

no AUG iron sights

The AUG's default optic is the SCAR-20 scope. Right clicking an optic to remove it does nothing.

Taller than average or shoter playermodels

Taller than average or shoter playermodels cause this stretching visual bug, I just hope there'll be some pm height adjustment for anims. Also there's some thumb bone problem with this pm only, but other swep mods work at their finest, mostly not the arc9 addon issue but anyway

usp s random presets sometimes break the suppressor

sometimes when clicking random preset the suppressor gets bugged and appears away from the gun, it looks like changing anything in the preset fixes it but putting the same change back breaks it again. couldn't replicate it by not using the preset though
