Yesterday I tried to test Memcached backend (after that PR was merged into crystal-memcached project) and I noticed I could not run the tests because I don't have leveldb installed.

Could we split the specs in order to not depend on too many backends installed on the machine? Just an idea.

I've find this awesome shards, but it seems that the documentation is outdated, at least https://github.com/crystal-community/kiwi#filestore.

I've used what described in this documentation, but have a crystal error

Syntax error in tools/src/benchmarker.cr:16: expecting token ':', not ')'

I've found in the spec (and it works)

Kiwi::FileStore.new(dir: "/tmp/kiwi_test")

Not sure if you feel this fits within the scope of this module. But I'd quite like to wrap my database queries in a cache to prevent hitting the db too often. What would be really cool is if I could use this library but set expiry times on data ie

store.set("key", "value",1000) # 1000ms optional, otherwise forever

If this isn't inline with your aims, let me know as I may create a module to wrap yours to add this functionality to those who want it.
