My card temperature going above 70C as it set 80% fan speed how can i increase to 90%?

Thanks for the video and the git hub repository. You have made it so simple.
I was hoping you could help me.
I have been running the miner since December 20 with no problems,(It's been great!)
about 24 hours ago my miner hangs for a couple of seconds and started rejecting every share for about 25 minutes then accepts a again, this keeps happening.
Can you advise me on whats happening ?

the number of milliseconds it takes also increases dramatically.
Do you know why this is?

The process of GPU-mining-on-Linux is very well described, quite simple to setup as per your good instructions !

One simple question: where the minerd executable comes from ? In the video description you mention altcoins, I'm confused.

I propose you publish a link the original repository where you obtained the "minerd" from (unless you built it yourself as closed-source): this would help people staying up to date if you do not syncronize your git tree, and could incentivate users to follow up on the possible bugs, configurations and so forth.

Does this observation make sense ?

GPU Fan control question

What is the reason to change the GPU fan control? Is it to conserve power for efficiency? Is there any harm in not doing that and just letting it run on the default settings?

Nvidia-settings fan speed

I have installed using this repository on three systems, each with 6 Zotac GTX 1070 GPUs with great success, except in controlling GPU fan speed. There is an error consistent to all builds when running ./underclock.sh. When I look at Nvidia-settings there is no option to control the fan speed and the fans are not running at 80%. I have temps of 70 to 71C on the GPUs so I believe they are auto cooling at a temp setting of 70 perhaps. I would very much like to speed them up to 90%, but any changes made in the underclock.sh file do not take effect. I have tried to find a solution, but it seems there is no clear way to do this with the Nvidia drivers. This error occurs with the fan settings at 80 as in the repository example file as well, Power settings are taking effect, I have set to 125 watts per card.

What should I do? what exactly is the problem?

enable nvidia fan control breaks boot

I have tried this 4 times on Ubuntu 20 with 2 3060ti.

Whenever I run ./enable_nvidia_fan_control.sh I am greeted with a black screen and a cross pointer.

After hours of debuggins I could fix this using

switch to a TTY (ctrl+alt+F2) or (ctrl+alt+F4), log in, and sudo rm /etc/X11/xorg.conf

Stratum authorization error

I am getting the following error when trying to change the address to bitcoin address.
Is it a different address? If yes, how to create that address? Thank you.

(Suggestion/Improvement) Add some more code to the install-dependencies script!

Hey mate, cool script and tut, but, apart from installing vim and chrome (which ain't needed really) in the install-dependencies.sh you should add

sudo apt-get install nvidia-xconfig nvidia-smi

To make sure nvidia-xconfig and nvidia-smi are there, as on some linux distributions (e.g. kali, based on Debian 9 atm.) they are not pre-installed! Thanks for reading, and I hope you'll improve it ;)
