Yes, we're aware that thelastripper only support ID3v1. Currently is a low
priority
enhancement... But if anyone knows about any .Net based platform independent
implementation of ID3v2 implementations please let us know...

I've seen that one, but last time I checked it was Linux only... Don't get me
wrong
I'm a Linux user, I only use Windows for the development of the windows port of
this
project :)

But I've just checked id3.org, and found this:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/idsharp/
It's still alpha and pretty new I guess, it wasn't there last time I checked...

I haven't tried it, but seen this in changelog:

2007-02-12  Brian Nickel  <[email protected]>

    * src/TagLib/ByteVector.cs: Fix support for Latin1.
    * taglib-sharp.csproj: Work on Windows.

And some other windows patches later. It works great on lin, and seems ported
to win
recently. Hope that helps.

Seams you were right about TagLib-Sharp, I took a look at their new homepage
(http://taglib-sharp.com), and it seams to be running on windows too...

This issue have been fixed as of revision 176, though not tested yet, but it
compiles :)
The taglib-sharp is used as a binary .dll, and will be include in source
releases as
binary .dll, the tarball will be available from SVN to comply with LGPL.

Some QA is still needed, and I need to figure out whether to download images and
append them to the ID3v2 tag, save them in the album folder or both
(suggestions please).
