I assume you've installed it from the .deb file available, right? It's build for
edgy, but that shouldn't cause the problem you are experiencing...
Take a look at the file /tmp/TheLastRipper.mp3 while you are ripping, it's
overwritten everytime a new song is detected. Does it keep growing after the
player
has stopped ripping???
Perhaps try and install TheLastRipper from the attached .deb file, it's build
for
feisty, but I haven't tested it...

I'm also having this issue, the file /tmp/TheLastRipper.mp3 keeps getting its
size
increased, i just "ripped" a song of 241 seconds and i believe the size of that
particular file should be at least 2MB but almost 30 seconds after TheLastRipper
halted the ripping the tmp/TheLastRipper.mp3 its about 700k and growing...

Also, in the "Music" directory nothings seems to happen, no subdirectory was
created
or .mp3. But let's talk about this on another issue #32, if you don't mind of
course.

The growing file is NOT an issue, at least not a negative one... The file in
/tmp/..., is suppose to grow... This is where TheLastRipper saves the stream
until
the metadata changes, once that happens the file is moved to your music path...
Are you sure you have write access to the place where files are saved (i.e. you
music
directory)?? (is there space enough on the drive?, there probably is :) )
By the way, I don't think we need to create another issues :) It's probably
very much
related to the first issue that you are experiencing... :)
The config file can't be edited manually, is a binary serialization... but
deleting
it would reset the settings... it usually located in
~/.config/TheLastRipper.conf

A new release of TheLastRipper is out, we've rewritten the streaming engine,
which
hopefully fixes this issue.
