This is the version tweaked for the rerelease of QuakeC that happened 2021. They included bug fixes and recommended building with FTEQCC. This should be stable for builds. But expect it to beSUPER vanilla... The engine is probably still limited as before and you will definitely want to consider any of the alternative community developer engines to run your pak1.pak, pak0.pak or whatever content you load as a mod. Quake is super easy to drop files into the root Quake folder and go. All the old tools to extract the paks run fine. You can even run without paks after you un-pak them as long as the folders are still there in the root. The engine just checks for files that are in the park and then the root folder. I'll have to put an example together to share sometime... Anyway this fork is for me to tinker.
