dokuwiki-template-notos's Issues

Separation between site-user-and-page tools is a bit confusing.

Preferred option:

A single “Tools” from, combining all these options is preferred in line with the existing styling -

unnamed

Ensure that all available to the user options (unless suppressed by Sysadmin) are visible here – this is expected to be a longer list than the count of options available in the “floating” menu – see #13

Hierarchical breadcrumb support?

Is it possible for Notos to display the breadcrumb of the current page by namespace hierarchy, rather than the trace of visited pages?

Burgermenu Items

In mobile view, the sub-tabs are always visible, taking too much of the screen. Perhaps:

  • Make them collapsed by default
  • add a dedicated element to expand the sub-tabs?

Logged in User

The name of the user who is logged in is not shown. Show the username of the logged-in user above “site” and “user” tools (i.e. top-right corner, aligned to right)

Related to #2

Media Manager on Mobile

When open Media Manager from site tools on mobile, the page is not displayed in a structured manner

User Manager on Mobile

On mobile, user manager tables for adding a new user and editing existing users (normally positioned side-by-side) are overlapping

Hide view source for read-only users

Button for viewing page source is visible even when the user has read only access. Suppress this button all-together if the user has read-only access.

When the user can write the page – rightfully show the Edit button

Full Control over Floating Tools

Key requirement: SE must be able to control which options are displayed in the “floating” menu – currently too many largely unused by SE options are visible (for example, subscriptions).

All tools, unless suppressed by Sysadmin should be available to user (in line with their permissions) as per #12

The floating tools must allow us to configure options to be included.

SE selection at this stage is as below. Note: Edit tool is only visible in the floating menu if the user has permissions to edit the page; if they do not have such, do not display the edit tool, nor “page source” options

Wrap changes not reflected in PDF

when a page is PDF-ed using the “Dw2Pdf” plugin, what the user sees on the page does not match what is on the PDF visually…

More prominent Login mechanism

Log-out function is now “hidden” in User Menu, meaning it is not easily accessible. Ideally create a dedicated log-out button, visible to logged-in users.

Position/Styling of the Trace line

Position the trace in the header, on a dedicated line, below the other elements of the header already in place, i.e. the last element in the dark-blue area, before the light-blue line that separates the header from the body is displayed.

Wrap Colors not prominent enough

Wrap plugin colours are re-written and the tags – styled very differently to current set-up. The impact of this is that important text is much less prominent, and distinction between Critical wrap and Important wrap is lost.

  • I like the less rounded edges of the new wrap styling – please keep these.
  • Background colour of the WRAP tags to remain as per the existing WRAP plugin colours
  • I like the use more stylish way in displaying kind of importance than using say a “light-bulb” or a warning-triangle style images – happy to discuss options. The important part here is that the outlining of these elements draws the attention of the user

Login Form on Mobile

On a mobile device, the log-in inputs (username and password) are floating to the right.

The floating tools are visible on top of the username/password fields.

Idelally:

  • Log-on input fields positioned centrally
  • Floating “page” tools NOT displayed for user that has not logged in
