Actually a similar error was reported in issues #74 and #75. But the tests do not detect it, nor I have it when I run the notebooks.
I made a new release on pip. Can you try to uninstall your current version (conda uninstall agnpy or pip uninstall agnpy, depending on how you installed it) and install the new version (pip install agnpy).

If you still have this error can you please tell me which astropy version you are using?
Just open a python terminal

import astropy
astropy.__version__

I installed the new version of agnpy however I still got same error. I am using 3.1 astropy version.

I see, that's a quite old version. Can you try to upgrade your astropy?
I am currently using 4.2.
Just

conda update astropy

or

pip install astropy --upgrade

and check again that the version is updated to >4.
After upgrading astropy, re-install agnpy.
