as wofi is no longer actively maintained, using it may not be a great idea

I am so sorry, but as much as i love smithay, it is still incomplete, lacks certain features, a pain to use, and isn't as mature as wlroots. I know that wlroots-rs is abandoned, but we can fork it and maintain it to fix it up and expand it. Maybe we can also get wlroots-rs to work together with smithay, somehow

I'll try making a small rust compositor with wlroots-rs, and I'll post updates in this issue.

in the future letting you configure corrosionwm with other languages (e.g. lua, shell script, or a custom lang) may be a good idea in the future

i know this might seem like a stupid ass issue, but in the future once my networking stops shitting itself on linux. i wanna see if i can stream on linux. is there a way we can get things like obs screen and window sharing working? i am willing to help with testing for this and maybe programming it if astrid or ave can shove all the smithay and rust shit into my head.
