In my experience with civilian flight test, the "Clean and Dry" call from chase indicates no leaks and no excessive gear door, or external panel/gear door gaps. Usually made after gear retraction or prior to a high speed test point.

Appendix A. "No visible battle damage. Battle Damage (BD) checks “Clean and Dry” means no damage and no leaking fluids."
That's a good candidate for Appendix B, since the concept of "battle damage" is extended to flight test to include the gaps you mentioned, which may not be "damage" in the traditional sense, but indicate a "dirty" aircraft
