@cmosquerat and @cookieofcode, I experience the same problem, any ideas on this ?

Hi @cmosquerat and @pirazor. Unfortunately, I don't have access to a HoloLens 2 anymore. Make sure that you applied the Project Configurations listed in https://github.com/cookieofcode/LabAssistVision#project-configuration. Otherwise please ensure that you use Unity Version 2019.4.15f1 and dependency versions specified in https://github.com/cookieofcode/LabAssistVision#dependencies.

If you're using a newer version of Unity, the Scene may not be referenced correctly anymore. You may need to configure the MRTK Extension Service and reference the shaders correctly?

Hi, I also got the same error while deploying in Hololens 2. It uses laptop webcam while remoting. May I know if any updates to this issue or solution for using HoloLens 2 cam while deploying. Thank you @cookieofcode @cmosquerat and @pirazor

Hi @nd345
Using the laptop camera while remoting is the expected behavior (see MonoCamera.cs). Please ensure to install all dependencies using the specified version. Unfortunately, I can't update the project to newer versions as I have no access to a HoloLens 2 anymore.

Are you using a newer version than Unity 2019.4.15f1? If so, I experienced problems with other projects as the Scene may not be upgraded correctly and some configurations/links are missing. Ensure that you have configured the MRTK Extension Service correctly and also that the Shader (YUV2RGB_NV12) is configured in the scene/camera. In addition, ensure that you have applied all the steps described here: https://github.com/cookieofcode/LabAssistVision#project-configuration.

Hi, Thanks for the reply. Yes, I am using Unity version 2019.4.15f1. So, currently the issue is after deploying build to HoloLens 2, webcam display is not showing anything, just white screen, but while remoting laptop webcam is reading. As far as I checked all the configurations are correct. This issue is similar to the one @cmosquerat mentioned above. Is there is any solution to make the HoloLens camera to work smoothly. In that rendering is showing change in fps but video and track seems not working as it shows 0 fps. @cookieofcode

Hi,
I've been facing this issue too. I've followed all the project config steps and matched every version of it. However I see a pink empty screen when deployed to Hololens 2, with the fps at 0 and no action taking place.
My Unity version is 2019.4.15f1.
Please let me know if there is a solution to this as soon as possible?

Hello everyone,

unfortunately I've got the same problem as @pallavimohansaab.
The workaround from @heisenbergg-0 did not worked for me.

I have tried it with 2019.4.15f1, 2019.4.17f1, 2019.4.21f1 and 2019.4.24f1.
Profiles were all good, shaders all set, OpenCVforUnity is version 2.4.1, project and publishing settings too. I did always deployed for ARM64 and in release.
Everytime I've got the pink empty screen.
What else may I do?

@cookieofcode, do you maybe know some tweek which I can test?

cookieofcode avatar cookieofcode commented on May 21, 2024

@Birkenpapier Do you have the Research Mode enabled? I would guess that the problem is a missing or unreferenced shader or configuration (e.g MRTK). Please check all settings and configuration in the Readme. Unfortunately I can not reproduce the error, as I do not have access to a HoloLens device anymore.

Thank you for your response @cookieofcode!
Yes, I have the Research Mode enabled and also every setting the same as described in your setup.
As you can see:

  • the build settings:
    grafik
  • the player settings:
    grafik
    grafik
    grafik
    grafik
    grafik
  • mrtk profiles:
    grafik
    grafik
    grafik

Could it be the shader inside the camera service profile?

Thank you very much in advance for your help!
