On the login page for the CONP website. Consider, swapping the positions of the auto-sign in methods(ORCID and Institution).

The reason is that, more people are associated with institutions relative to Orcid. For example, most undergraduate students don't have ORCID's but are interested in the data. Most people don't get ORCID's until the publish there first paper.

Use environment variables in config.py to export the ORCID id and token from the os

Consider adding a Github sign in button on the login page to be able to track developer's projects. The reason is that you can track how developers are using the data and the outcome can be tracked.

Add a "Create a CONP Account" link just below the login card

Also, provide a link to go back to the portal with the option of no having logged in.
