cli_whatever's Introduction

CLITown

Welcome to your new gem! In this directory, you'll find the files you need to be able to package up your Ruby library into a gem. Put your Ruby code in the file lib/CLI_Town. To experiment with that code, run bin/console for an interactive prompt.

This gem lets you dig through all the spells of the 3.5 edition of Dungeons and Dargons to find detailed information on them. It's an interactive spellbook, with a fe different way to parse through that information! Want to know all the spells for a certain class? Want to see all spells of a level? Maybe you're looking for detailed information about a specific spell? Enter the library to find out!

Installation

Add this line to your application's Gemfile:

gem 'CLI_Town'

And then execute:

$ bundle

Or install it yourself as:

$ gem install CLI_Town

Usage

Once the program is running simpy follow the onscreen commands. The program allows you to sort spell names by a variety of criteria and to get specific information about a single spell all in one place. If you've chosen to sort by letter, you don't even have to type that command again to switch letters. Simply type the new letter you wish to search by and a new list populates!

Development

After checking out the repo, run bin/setup to install dependencies. You can also run bin/console for an interactive prompt that will allow you to experiment.

To install this gem onto your local machine, run bundle exec rake install. To release a new version, update the version number in version.rb, and then run bundle exec rake release, which will create a git tag for the version, push git commits and tags, and push the .gem file to rubygems.org.

Contributing

Bug reports and pull requests are welcome on GitHub at https://github.com/'whimsical-scanner-1981'/CLI_Town.

License

The gem is available as open source under the terms of the MIT License.
