Add support for ES2022 syntax

Currently the config allows ES2021 syntax, however the ES2022 one should be already supported to allow usage of e.g. private class fields.

Update ES version to 2021

Currently, ESLint is set to ES2019 and we're already in 2021…

Remove `valid-jsdoc` rule

The valid-jsdoc rule is deprecated and should be removed from the config.

Add support for linting TS code

Currently, the config is designed to work only with JS code. However, it'd be good if it also worked with a TS one.

Disable `@typescript-eslint/unbound-method` rule

Seems to be pretty problematic and points to issues in correct places, e.g.:

t.teardown( sandbox.restore );

Add support for Node 18 and remove it for Node 12 and 14

Let's update official Node.js support to >=16.12.0.

Update dependencies

The last bump was quite long ago so let's do it!

Rewrite test to ava

As mlt is no longer maintained, let's rewrite tests to ava.

Remove formatting rules

Let's drop formatting rules in favor of formatter, like dprint.

Enable ES2019

Currently ESLint is constrained to ES2018 syntax, but we already have 2019!

Add support for `globalThis`

Currently, the linter complains about globalThis variable. Let's add it.

Restore restrictions on console

After updating ESLint to ^6.0.0, console is not longer forbidden. It should be fixed.

Drop `require-await` and `require-yield`

Adhering to these rules can change the behavior of code, e.g. making async function sync will change the way of error handling.

Allow using functions before definition

Allowing using functions before definitions enables moving all helper functions to the bottom, after the main logic.

Rename master branch

Let's rename it!

Allow space after async keyword in arrow functions

Current rules allow only async() => {}, but it seems just weird.

Add support for import attributes syntax

The import attributes syntax is still not an official part of the ES standard, but I use it in my code – let's ensure that ESLint understands it.

Version 10 of node.js has been released

Version 10 of Node.js (code name Dubnium) has been released! 🎊

Greenkeeper has checked the engines key in any package.json file, the .nvmrc file, and the .travis.yml file, if present.

engines was only updated if it defined a single version, not a range.
.nvmrc was updated to Node.js 10
.travis.yml was only changed if there was a root-level node_js that didn’t already include Node.js 10, such as node or lts/*. In this case, the new version was appended to the list. We didn’t touch job or matrix configurations because these tend to be quite specific and complex, and it’s difficult to infer what the intentions were.

For many simpler .travis.yml configurations, this PR should suffice as-is, but depending on what you’re doing it may require additional work or may not be applicable at all. We’re also aware that you may have good reasons to not update to Node.js 10, which is why this was sent as an issue and not a pull request. Feel free to delete it without comment, I’m a humble robot and won’t feel rejected 🤖
