color-data's Issues

Usage of the LUTCHI data

First of all, thanks for sharing this valuable data. I really appreciate it.

I've been trying to evaluate the performance of CIECAM02 using the LUTCHI data, which has been verified through various works, for example, C.Li et al., "Comprehensive color solutions: CAM16, CAT16, and CAM16-UCS", but I have some problems.

It is not clear to me how to use it legitimately.

When we use CIECAM02, we basically need an XYZ value of an input stimulus and reference white. I could take XYZ values from the colorimetric file as an input stimulus. Then, Xo, Yo, Zo, will be those for the reference white. Then, what do "Scaling Y of Factor" and "Scaling Y of Background" mean? Should I multiply the input stimulus' XYZ value by "Scaling Y of Factor"? It isn't very clear... I'd really appreciate it if you give me some examples about the dataset. Thanks!
