Building From Source

  • Building from source is for code tinkerers, if you just want to use the launcher and not worry about the code, jump to the Usage Guide.
  • The current default branch is "master-ts" - this is a W.I.P. cross-platform TypeScript conversion. Likely to be many build issues and missing functions for a while. Currently using yarn/npm from Visual Studio Code for building.
  • The previous release binaries are built off of the "old-cs" branch and this should be the branch you choose if you want to build the latest release yourself. Build with Visual Studio 2019.

Usage guide

  • (1) Make sure you have the latest release from https://github.com/CollinMcKinney-jabukufo/LeagueLocaleLauncher/releases THIS IS A DIFFERENT LINK THAN THE GREEN CLONE/DOWNLOAD BUTTON

  • (2) Start LeagueLocaleLauncher.exe, choose the language/region you wish to use and then click the launch button. The tool should close and then League Of Legends should be launched using the language and region you selected. If that worked, then congratulations, you're done :D

  • (3) If something isn't working right:

    • (a) Go to config.yaml which should be located next to your LeagueLocaleLauncher.exe (it won't exist until you run the launcher the first time).
    • (b) Change LeagueClientSettingsPath and LeagueClientPath to match the file paths in your League Of Legends install.
    • (c) Repeat step 2.
    • (d) If it still doesn't work, either leave an issue here on GitHub, or Discord and we'll be glad to help you.

leaguelocalelauncher's Issues

LLL 1.2.2 fails to save folder location.

Just updated from 1.1.1 to 1.2.2. LLL fails to save the custom League folder location and it asks for it every time you want to use it.
Setting config.yaml to Read-Only will make LLL unable to launch at all.
Going back to 1.1.1 in the mean time.

Language change is no longer permanent

Since the language change update to the client, this software stopped working correctly. The language change is no longer permanent as it defaults back to the previous language each time the client is opened.

It will not open my league client.

Hello I recently downloaded the new version from here since it wasn't working since the new update. It loads up and lets me choose the location and language but it can not open the league client. I see in my task manager that it tries to load it but then the league client quickly closes afterwards. I checked the config.yaml file and everything is correct. Is anyone else having this issue or is there any fix to it?

Error thing..

hey, I'm having trouble with the launcher thing, when I try to open it, it says: Windows cannot access the specified device path or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item. maybe showing how to set it up would be a big help.

Please add Vietnamese locale.

Thank you for this amazing app! But I'm looking for Vietnamese locale (since I'm playing in NA without knowing any English).

center program

Hi, please update the app to launch in the center of the screen rather than the corner.

Project should be cleaned up and prepared to rewrite in .NET Core using an Electron UI for cross-platform compatibility.

The project is currently using the .NET Framework with a WinForms UI which locks the application to only work on windows.

We can instead rewrite the launcher for .NET Core with an Electron UI which will make it somewhat platform agnostic (I'm sure we will also have to work some magic with the file paths and what-not).

Before we dive right into the rewrite, we should first clean up, organize, and document the project. This will make the rewrite easier and will prevent the code from becoming more messy during the move.
