Description

Upgrading to vscode version 1.49 (August 2020) causes ligatures to not be disabled by this extension, in both cursor and line mode. I downgraded to vscode version 1.48 (July 2020) and the extension works as expected.

System Info

• Disable Ligatures v0.0.8
• macOS 10.14.6

What do you think about these options?

I have one idea.

Option to disable ligatures only on selected text could be useful.

Something like:
"disableLigatures.mode": "selection"

Many ligatures are useful, but some can be difficult to differentiate at a glance in certain fonts, resulting in more time spent evaluating code. As such, I would love the option to disable specific ligatures for the entire editor view (i.e. not at just the selected line or cursor position).

Example:

"disableLigatures.ligatures.global": [
  "==",
  "===",
  "!=",
  "!==",
]

This works great for arrow-like ligatures (->) and such but doesn't for ones like |}.
Perhaps for a complete reference, https://github.com/tonsky/FiraCode lists the whole set of them.

Just a quick question, since we use full fat VS at work, and this looks very useful.
