codewing's Issues

Cross-file jump-to-definition

CodeWyng currently only supports j2d within a single file.

It would be awesome if you could jump across files in the current repository.

Cross-file find-references

CodeWing currently only supports refs within a single file.

It would be awesome if you could find refs across files in the current repository.

Private repositories

It would be great to support both public and private repositories (currently only public is supported).

How? The user could grant access to private repositories by supplying a GitHub access token to the browser extension.

Cross-file code navigation

CodeWyng currently only supports code nav within a single file.

It would be awesome if you could jump across files in a repository, and maybe across repositories, too.

Language support

Language support will be added roughly in order of popularity on GitHub (except for Go, which was done first as a proof-of-concept):

  • #3 JavaScript/TypeScript
  • #5 Python
  • #4 Java
  • #2 Go
  • C/C++
  • Ruby
  • PHP
  • C#
  • Shell

Cross-repository code navigation

CodeWing currently only works across files within the same repository.

It would be awesome to support code navigation across repositories.

PR/diff support

CodeWyng currently only works on the normal file view.

It would be sweet to get it working on PRs and diffs, too.

Quick search

It'd be convenient to have a pop-up search modal that searches across files/projects/repos.

Edge chromium support

I don't seem to be able to make codewing working in Edge chromium. I tried the examples, but nothing happens.
