looks like you would generate an encryption keypair using their public key library,
and then generate a different keypair for signing using your secret key as a seed, or from scratch.

looks like theyre using the same curve anton is in the verification on tendermint, so that's good.

Yes, that’s the same curve.

I just have a minor comment — instead of using one private key as the seed for another, generate both independently and concatenate it into a single 64-byte signing-encryption private key. Do the same for public keys.

With a minor overhead we get compatibility and probably better security — it’s not always possible to set up the seed, especially for things like HSM. Debugging is easier too.
