Do you want to fix it? Then you get full credit for it 😄 Note that your "y'all" includes you! We're all developing this...
PS this is a syntax change in Oceananigans, not a Julia update. We made it so that Flat
directions are always omitted from background fields, forcing, initial conditions, etc (though there is still a bit of work to do with particles).

Does this problem happen on GPU only?

Or perhaps can you report the version of Oceananigans you are using?
I believe that if you use v0.90 or later and then it should be OK. The docs seem to built OK on CPU at least. I also tried it out and the example runs on #main
.

I tend to believe that this issue is again related with using a previous version of Oceananigans than the one used by the Docs.

Hmm I think you're right. @loganpknudsen can you confirm that your problem goes away if you run the example with the latest version of Oceananigans? PS who are these mysterious colleagues? If they are on github go ahead and tag them here to add them to the discussion.

@loganpknudsen, any update on the status of this issue?

I'm closing this; @loganpknudsen please re-open if you still think there is an issue.
