classicmonitor's Issues

APK availability

First thanks for working on this app! Did you consider making it available for those without access to Google's walled garden โ€“ e.g. by picking up tagging releases and attaching the APK files there? Thanks in advance!

Crash using Mosquitto, local, passwordless

Awesome work on this app.

Severity: minor (easy workaround)

Environment:

  • Local network
  • Raspberry Pi
  • mosquitto (no username and password required), sharing data with your app and HomeAssistant.

Current behavior:
Using no username/password causes Android app to crash when clicking on the classic's name in the swipe-out list on the left.

Expected behavior:
Using no username/password doesn't cause a crash when clicking on classic's name in the swipe-out list on the left.

Workaround:
Use a junk username/password.

PVOutput Upload

Hi there,

First I'd like to say great work on the app, it's been fantastic for me. I have a classic 150 with 500 watts of panels and I wanted to see how things look on PVOutput.org.

Yesterday I created my account and set the app up with the API key and Site ID, but I'm not seeing any outputs recorded on the site. I also tried generating another API key last night, still nothing.

Is there any way to check a log or something to see what's happening?

Thanks!

Aux 1 timer

Is it possible to add a timer that can track the amount time that Aux 1 has diverted power to a SSR to heat water ?

Live Chart shows incorrect units for State of Charge

The Live Chart screen displays the State of Charge in units "A" instead of "%".

Steps to Recreate:

  1. Open Live Chart
  2. Tap on SoC to display the numeric value. It shows the battery charge percentage in unit "A" (Amps) instead of "%"

Limit port numbers to 65535

Entering an invalid port greater than 2^31 will throw an exception, the port number should be limited to less than 65536.

MQTT Publishing stops on WiFi re-connect

I love the MQTT addition, it works great!
However in case that the WiFi goes down at the publisher's side for a period of time, the MQTT publisher stops responding to "Info" and "Wake" commands after then network comes back up again. Perhaps MQTT re-connect is needed, once the WiFi becomes available again?
My Classic 150 is in a remote cabin where my inverter (that is powering the network) is controlled by "Waste Not Hi" relay. Thus the WiFi is only available during daylight hours when I am not there.
I'll be happy to help with testing, or even making a small PR, if pointed the right direction as to where to apply the fix.
Thank you,

Texts of "Total Energy" are blocked

Describe the bug

Dear developer!
In the process of using, I found a bug in layout / display. As shown in the figure below, on the energy tab page, texts of "Total Energy" could not be seen fully. This may be an adaptation problem. I suspect it is because display and font size are set to large (mainly due to display size).
Because of some problems with my eyesight, I often use the largest font and display.

App version is 3.1.4, my mobile phone is Google Pixel 2, and the screen resolution setting is 1920* 1080. And my font size and display size are the largest ! ! ! Also, my Android system version is 10.0.
The above is a description of the problem. The overall experience of the software is good. You can see that the design is very attentive. Thank you very much for the efforts of the developers all the time. I hope to receive a reply. Thank you so much!!

Expected behavior

I hope that the texts of "total energy" are not blocked.

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1.use the largest font and display in the display setting
2.click the "energy" tab
3.this error could be seen

SID# only accepts 5 digits in Classic Monitor

When entering the PVoutput.org SID# only 5 number characters are accepted in the Classic Monitor app. My pvoutput.org SID number is 6 digits. Is there a something I am missing or entering wrong?
