snmp's Introduction

Cistern is an event aggregation and indexing system. Cistern consumes VPC Flow Logs and JSON events from AWS CloudWatch Logs and exposes a SQL-like querying interface.

Hi Preetam,

Have you thought about merging or contributing your code to soniah/gosnmp. Issue 16 over there is looking for SNMP v3 support. Or to mjibson/snmp?

I ask because I am looking to use test bosun with SNMP v3 devices and I have little knowledge of Go. Other than my reasons, I think that Bosun would greatly benefit from SNMP v3 support and your project is the first and only Go project that I can find that supports SNMP v3.

Rename "...Stuff"

Names like doRequestStuff and engineStuff should be changed to be more useful.
