nad cookbook

Install and configure nad, a nodejs-based monitoring agent.

Recipes

nad (nad::default)

Runs the install and configure recipes.

nad::install

Installs nad by downloading tarballs from updates.circonus.com .

nad::configure

nad doesn't have much configuration; this just sets the port, SSL options, and scripts directory.

Actions

:enable - Link a script into the config directory, enabling it (default)
:disable - Delete a link

Attributes

name - Name of the script (if.sh, cpu.elf, etc) subdir - Subdirectory within nad config directory where the actual script lives; required for :enable

Examples

Enable postgres replication script

nad_script pg_replication.sh do subdir 'postgres' end

Disable vm script

nad_script vm.sh do action :disable end
