Hi there,

at c6d0748#r68029580, I reported about the current designated installation location at /opt/fritznagios/fritznagios.py, originating from a previous installment when this program has not been packaged yet.

This should probably be improved, aligned with a corresponding section within the README file, which gives appropriate instructions how to install this program separately into /opt, using a Python virtual environment:

python3 -m venv /opt/fritznagios
/opt/fritznagios/bin/pip install git+https://github.com/cicerops/fritznagios

When following this recipe, the appropriate path would be /opt/fritznagios/bin/fritznagios.

Hi again,

with the current configuration of the command_endpoint setting within the fritznagios-services.conf file,

it means that the check program will be invoked on the monitored host.

However, there might also be the desire to run it on the monitoring host, while still having the service objects associated with the foreign host. It would be sweet if we could make this configurable from within the host snippet somehow, like vars.fritznagios_run_on_host = true|false.
