The emergence and rapid expansion of multiple SARS-CoV-2 variants of interest (VOIs) and variants of concern (VOCs) highlight the need for robust genomic surveillance to monitor circulating viruses and help guide the public health response to the COVID-19 pandemic (Galloway SE 2021). In November 2020, CDC established national genomic surveillance of SARS-CoV-2; activities were scaled up rapidly in early 2021. This repository contains the code and an example dataset to demonstrate the statistical weighting and modeling methods used to generate representative estimates of proportions of variants from December-April 2021 in the United States
