battle_of_the_bands's Introduction

battle_of_the_bands

This is the repo of code used to create my talk: Battle of the Bands - Starring Tidytext and Tensorflow

All the code should run to mimic what I get in the presentation. You just need a directory called mp3 which has two folders in it: radiohead and little mix, containing all the mp3s for all their albums.

I heldout the latest two albums, A Moon Shaped Pool and LM5 to use the model on.

battle_of_the_bands's Issues

genius_album does indeed provide album name :)

Hey Chris, first off, awesome slides! If the talk is recorded I'd love to see it.

Referencing your somewhat hilarious comment

# annoyingly genius_album doesn't return the album name so i need to supplement this
, I wanted to let you know that you totally can get the album name returned from genius_album() you just the info argument to info = "all". If you can create an issue that would be great. If you want to take a stab at changing the default arg that would be very much appreciated!

as an addendum, given your workflow I think Chapter 5.1 or mirr might be a good reference in the future.

If you run into any other bugs, please lemme know!
