pyglatin's Introduction

This is an extension of the “Pyg Latin” project from the Codecademy.com introductory Python course. Once I reached that project, I decided to code it entirely on my own and expand it past the basic requirements as far as possible with almost no prior knowledge of the language.

The eventual goal is for the user to be able to enter any string and for it to be converted, if possible, into correct Pig Latin.

pyglatin's Issues

Omitted capitalization

Even if the user enters text containing capital letters, the program outputs text that is all lowercase. The output should ideally match the user input exactly in terms of capitalization.

Punctuation in wrong place

The program attempts to print the punctuation of the original sentence in the corresponding spot in the output sentence, but does not always succeed.

An example of an input that is still causing bugs is this:
"Well, what have we here?" he chuckled.
