widespreadpanic's Issues

How can we get setlist data?

There are sites like:

  1. Everyday Companion
  2. Setlist.fm

Everyday companion has a ton of information, but no API. That means either getting an export of the data or scraping the site (not something I'd like to do).

Setlist.fm does have an API, but I don't know how reliable/updated their information is.

What types of data can we analyze?

  1. Set lists
    • Could an affinity analysis be performed to see which songs are most likely played together?
    • Could set list data be used to predict which songs are most likely to be played next at a concert?
  2. Lyrics
    • Could a text analysis be performed on lyrics?
  3. Chords
    • Could an anlaysis be performed on chords used in songs?
