hangeo's Introduction

Hangeo

This is the final project for our "Discrete Math II" course in our university, we had to develop a full application implementing the concept of Graph Theory into real world problems and make an application that can be usefull for our market.

Our idea for the final project was to make an app, that allows our users to create they're hang out plans, allowing them to select different destinations and create the best route between them, giving them usefull info about time they might need between each destination and an estimate of how much money they might have to pay to have a good time in the hang out plans, but our primary concer was giving our user (The plan maker) the ability to make a plan, update it and share it easily between his friends and family without losing any important information on the way.

Application

We decided to make our application in a technology we didn't knew, or only had the basics so we could do our project but at the same time learn some new coding skills. because it would be really boring to do all that theoric work and not have a little fun learning something new right? :P

Technologies we used

Google API's:

Our Application Functionality:

  • Authentication System (Implemented with Firebase, provides Login, and Registration to the app)
  • Create, and edit a hangout plan (Name, Description, and places)
  • Select places for your hangout plan
  • Gives you the best route between places
  • Estimates your expenses for the whole plan [Under Development]
  • Add Friends to Plan [Under Development]
  • Share your plan with others [Under Development]
  • List of Suggested hang out plans [Under Development]

How to modify our Application?

To modify our application and contribute to our project, you first need to fork it and make sure you have installed all the required dependencies to compile it succesfully in android studio, after everything compiles good you can start collaborating and making pull requests ☺️!
