Do you have any plan to implement native support DNS-over-QUIC (DoQ)
I see you already implement QUIC support on DoH
Beta version on Play Store is still from October 2020
trying to work out bugs for Android 13 on a fork (pre pull),
git clone with recursive, followed by gradle had some quirks, most I've solved (newer gradle requires some syntax switching for example)
is there any entry in wiki or build md doc I can review ?
I have been running Nebulo for a couple days now, and it's great so far. I run my own DNS server at my house for content filtering, etc... and with Nebulo I can connect to my private DNS from outside of my home LAN. The problem is that when I get home I have to remember to stop Nebulo or else (I'm assuming because of VPN) I can't access LAN resources (like my file servers, Home Assistant, etc...).
Would it be possible to automatically stop the service when I'm connected to my home wifi, and then restart again once I am back on mobile data? This isn't a big issue for me, but I'd also like my kids to do it, and I'd like the solution to be as hands off as possible. Especially since I'll have Nebulo secured with a PIN so they can't connect or disconnect on their own.
There is a way to do this? I don't think when I'm at home connected to wifi I need to have vpn enabled.
One of the things that I feel is missing, is the inclusion of work profiles. I know that many applications such as rethinkDNS, Blokada, Adaway and so on do not include such a feature. Personally i tend to install a few big brother apps in Shelter (https://f-droid.org/en/packages/net.typeblog.shelter/) to have them separated from my personal data. I can see how it might be debatable to support such a feature since anti-tracking rules and such should theoretically keep apps from sending out "sensitive" information. A few missed or forgotten rules is all it takes to undermines the users privacy, which i think is enough reason to at least consider this as feature. Running two instances seems like a bad idea, not only because it's wasteful in terms of battery usage, but it is also redundant in regards to configuration and management.
At present, it seems that when you launch the app, you connect to many different servers according to SECUSO Net Monitor.
Also, a particularly strange case that I've noticed is the app connecting to a Google IP address range after connecting to cloudflare-dns.com
In general, these auto connections seem like a privacy concern to me when one has not inspected the source code.
I think it'd be great if there was an option to make it so that the connections are only made to the selected servers after turning on the VPN and to all the other servers only during the speed test.
Version: 2.0.5-adblock
It'll be nice to see Nebulo in light theme as well as follow system theme
option, so it looks more coherent with the rest of the system.
The hamburger menu isn't really the best user experience.
Scrolling up every time I want to modify a custom rule seems a bit unnecessary. I'd like to see this option on the top of the list.
Would be nice to have PAC file support in this app, this will help me circumvent government site bans.
Hi!
My local domain is "home.arpa" which should be "state-of-the-art", but with Nebulo (2.1.1-adblock from F-Droid) activated calls to "home.arpa" are not redirected to the local DNS.
TIA,
Heiko
Considering that built-in "Private DNS" (actually DoTLS over port 853/tcp) has become an opt-out feature among numerous vendors by default, the non-VPN section may require additional steps remarking on either settling for that or disabling for the sake of using Nebulo. Not addressing this leads to suggested configuration never matching on DNS traffic, as it is never sent over 53/udp.
I'd like to have this option (like pi-hole) for logged queries where I can see the most requested domains(blocked & allowed).
Thanks.
Title pretty much says all. I use torguard vpn and everything seems pretty compatible on that front, dns query logs display and block correctly etc. However, after a few minutes it kills both my wifi and cellular connection until I turn off iptables.
