I thought I could use the greedy homotopy basis to cut a manifold surface to a disk. For a donut this worked, but for a sphere I the edges returned by compute_greedy_homotopy_basis
are empty. Is this expected behavior?
I attached the sphere as PLY file for your reference.

If it is possible to use compute greedy homotopy basis on a graph structure(which can be non-manifold) like Medial Surface?
