Dependent pages don't update when frontmatter is changed

title: Hostess, a Tool for Local DNS
date: 2016-04-13
tags: hostess tools go dns

For example, changing the date to 04-11 which should make it appear earlier than another article does not trigger a rebuild for the other pages. There probably needs to be some trigger on frontmatter that re-renders pages that query on it.

This is actually pretty hard so it might be best to do a full rebuild for now. The same applies to page creation. A new page will be rendered and tracked but will not show up in any lists.

Since a full rebuild is slow it might make sense to re-render all the pages but only write them if they have changed.
