We need to start making written descriptions of the graphs that we can incorporate into the results section of the paper.

what do they all mean? what needs to be changed? Let's look at this in class on 4/12

Readme needs much more info in it. What are we even doing here?

We need to create metadata for the figshare file, link it from the readme. @cbahlai will have to upload the metadata directly because it's hosted on her account so email it to her

the multivariate analysis is pretty lame right now. It needs to be done and looked at at two temporal resolutions. Plots should use the designated colour schemes- year data should use pal, the treatment data should be encoded with color brewer Set3

Are they lampyrids, or fireflies? my gut feeling says that is we want this to go to a broader audience, fireflies should be used through out, with the family name being defined once at the beginning. Must do a find and replace in the paper to resolve this

We need a descriptive caption for each figure. And tables for the modeling.

figures for captures by week, captures by degree day accumulation, and modeled smoothing should be stacked together and exported to PDF because we want to be able to compare performance between them

to coauthors

We'll have to do this once we figure out (ha!) exactly which figures will go in the final manuscript- but labelling them as such within the code will help improve readability of the code and its relevance to the manuscript. In fact, it wouldn't hurt to name the PDFs that are output figure1,..., figure[n]

Overleaf's 'easy' reference adding function is just not working for me, so I'm moving to a word doc so I can use zotero without crying. Will circulate an editable copy in dropbox for final edits prior to submission!!!

"Early successional community" and "Biologically based (organic)" are too long. Let's shorten them so they don't mess up the graphs so much

We refer to the plant community in several ways: habitat, treatment etc. Let's check through the paper to consistently refer to it as "plant community treatment" or simply 'treatment'
