I know that iGrowl is only supported for IE9 and higher but making it workable in IE8 is pretty easy. I've tested this in our CRM which requires IE8 and have not had any issues - you don't get most of the effects but that wasn't really important in my case since I only need the support for another year.

is it possible to use your plugin without any icons ?
I want to use only text in the notifications, and thus not including any css icon package.

Despite many attempts to get our company to STOP using IE9, it's still the corporate approved browser. So...alerts work in IE9 to display, however, you cannot close them, and the Delay close option doesn't appear to be working. Console in IE doesn't show any JS errors.

Verified on your website that the same thing occurs, so it's not just my local installation: http://catc.github.io/iGrowl/

great library, thanks for that. However, when using bootstrap in combination with your plugin the X button looks crappy since it is a button. I used an 'a' instead and it still worked. Are you interested in a pull request or would you mind incorporating it yourself?

I use jquery 2.2 and my bower not updated, because you have "dependencies":

"jquery": "~2.1.1"
}
Please, update bower to newest jquery version.
