Had this happen a few times, works perfectly fine again when I restart the systemd service the bot is running in:

2022-02-15 07:16:28PM WARNING [main messagehandler 181]: Reconnecting...
2022-02-15 07:16:33PM WARNING [main message_reciever 145]: Connection with server closed
2022-02-15 07:17:03PM WARNING [main heartbeat 157]: Connection with server closed

After which it keeps running and doesn't succeed, so the systemd service doesn't restart automatically, but the bot doesn't attempt to reconnect either

Looks like Twitch has changed a mod action yet again. Adding VIPs via Native Chat presents a safety embed, adding via Chatty presents both the safety embed and the actual intended vip action embed (I guess it sends twice now, for some reason?)

It would be nice if the bot had the option to send the messages to Discord just as text rather than embeds, similar to this:

While less visually appealing, it's more suitable for high-traffic channels.

I would be cool if the bot could send a POST or GET request to an Uptime Robot endpoint every X minutes (endpoint and frequency would be configured in the settings file) so if it dies (usually due to expired Twitch oauth) I can be notified.

It would be nice if I could specify users to ignore in the settings file. I have some channels with significant bot modding activity and I only care about logging human actions, so I would specify the users (like ohbot, moobot, etc.) to ignore.

I'm thinking the ignored users would be global for the whole bot rather than specified per channel, but either way works I guess.
I would just spin up a second instance of the bot so I'd have one that logs everything and one that doesn't log specified users.
