[FR] Red light for fiber testing
It would be nice if you could optionally add a red light source to test fibers with in the next revision. Ideally with configurable blink patterns in case you test more than one.
[FR] Bluetooth/Wifi connectivity
This is more of a long-term FR.
Using a chip and board design with wireless connectivity would allow for ongoing, remote measurements.
[proposed] encode programmable SFPs
Certain SFPs are programmable (most Solid Optics, for instance) to allow them to be accepted by certain switches (Cisco, HP...).
Would be great to add the followin features:
- Recognize the current manufacturer encoded in the SFP
- Program the proper values
