After I press enter, only the code not the emoji itself is copied.
Thanks
please see the comment below, thanks.
Any reason why the images must be included? Can't just the Unicode character be displayed instead?
(I realize somebody called this out already but tacos are so important i think they need a separate issue)
There are new emoji as of OSX 10.11.1

Would be nice if you could add your plugin to packal.org :)
This works great to capture the code to use in campfire etc. however, is there a way to capture the image to use in iMessages for the Mac?
e.g. if you type "emoji +1" and press enter, :+1:
is copied to your clipboard. But if you press Ctrl+Enter, 👍 is copied.
Rationale is that it's easier to just type "emoji" without having to think which version you want until you actually find the emoji you're looking for.
This FontAwesome workflow does this, and it's glorious.
Introduced in 10.12.2, like the very important 🥃.
Thanks!
Look at the command structure of: https://github.com/ruedap/alfred2-font-awesome-workflow/
I can never remember to type "symoji" so I replaced your keywords with ":" and "emoji"; the former pulls up the emoji codes, the latter the symbols. Helps me remember much better!
Hi 👏, thanks for an awesome workflow!
By default, the workflow's output action is just copying the actual emoji symbol into clipboard.
However, in my most usage cases (and possibly for others), when I trigger the workflow I just want to insert the emoji symbol directly into the front-most application. If it is done by default, we do not need to input an extra keystroke, say "cmd-V" (paste).
I see that changing this default behavior can be achieved extremely simply, as follows:
How about enable this option by default? I would be happy to discuss on it.
Thanks.
Just sharing this alternative here, in the hope it helps others:

This pack includes emoji via snippets and automatic expansion by keyword name.
(built for Alfred 3 but supports Alfred 4)
Would love to be able to select skin-tone variant emoji!
I guess line 134 in related_words.rb is a typo where it says bromance
instead of romance
?
Would be nice if this project gets versioned, that way people can easily track modifications and updates.
Is there an option to set the default skin tone?
Great workflow, thanks for much for this! 🎉
I'm not sure whether this is desired behavior, but try putting your cursor on some input and using the workflow to copy an emoji -- it'll get outputted.
I would love for the option to opt out of this behavior, meaning only copying the emoji. Or maybe make this configurable?
Thanks again!
