FIREBIRD

Important

As of February 18, 2024, this project has been put on hold and will probably not be worked on or finished in the near future.

A simple Firefox add-on that displays current cookies and your most relevant pages.

FEATURES

1. Cookie List

  • Allows you to view the list of cookies associated with the active tab.
  • Get insights into the cookies stored by websites for the current browsing session.

2. Most Visited Sites

  • Lists the most visited sites by the user.
  • Provides quick access to frequently visited websites.

3. Custom New Tab Page

  • Replaces the built-in page shown when the user opens a new tab without specifying a page to load (e.g., when the user presses Ctrl+T).
  • The replacement page is populated with links taken from the topSites API.
  • Easily navigate to user's favorite websites directly from the new tab page.

INSTALLATION

You can add it by visiting https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/thefirebird or:

  1. Open Firefox browser.
  2. Go to the Firefox Add-ons website.
  3. Search for "Firebird" add-on.
  4. Click on the "Install" button.
  5. Restart your browser (if required).

USAGE

Once the add-on is installed, you can access its features:

  • To view the list of cookies, click on the add-on icon in the toolbar or use the provided keyboard shortcut.
  • The most visited sites will be displayed on the new tab page.
  • Whenever you open a new tab, the custom new tab page will be shown, populated with links from the topSites API.
