celeste-hunt's Issues

Bias by chapter select

Linear chapter select causes early chapters to have better odds at having an id'd task than later chapters.

A possible solution is to randomize the order in which every chapter draws its task, removing bias towards earlier chapters. I have some knowledge on shuffling arrays and it should be no problem.

Assigning to myself as part of v1.1.1 (bugfix)

i18n?

given most of the target demographic speaks english, is it needed to have this? open for discussion

Options

I think the tool could use some options area where you could set various toggles. For example:
"No berries" (exclude all the berry tasks)
"No ALL" (meaning no "all berries" tasks or "all feathers" tasks or similar. Could make runs shorter.)
"No PICO" (no pico8 tasks)

Im sure there are a ton more options people will request.

Add difficulty rating to tasks

While watching TGH play hunt, he made some good comments and I took note of them for this issue/feature request.

While TGH's main complaint is that the tasks are too easy, most of twitch chat wanted even easier task lists, so I think in general the community wants to be able to have finer control over what tasks are included in their runs.

One of the simplest ways I can think of to implement such a system it to give our existing tasks a 'difficulty rating' attribute on their json object. Something simple like 0-1 (decimal based) or 0-10 (int based) rough approximation of difficulty.
Next, we'd need to come up with more tasks from the community/ourselves to add on either the higher or lower ends of the scales.

Once we have the above 'difficulty rating' all set up, it should be pretty simple to pass another parameter to the backend and select tasks with that rating or lower. We could add a slider or other input to the options section for the user to select difficulty.

Rename project to Celeste Hunt

I think we're starting to gain some traction in the community as Celeste Hunt, and that is the title of the page. i think we should rename the github project if possible.
