fireconsole's Issues

Not compatible with FF 7.0.1

Firefox realease update channel is currently at 7.0.1 and says that FireConsole is not compatible.

I tries installing pinf so I could fix this plugin, but pinf does not install based on the instructions for the Mac OS X command line. Sorry.

Windows support

Install error when the extension is installed on windows (with files not packaged into jar files):

2009-11-05 11:20:07 - extractExtensionsFiles: failed to create target directory for extraction  file = C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\j3bnbx7e.default\extensions\[email protected]\using\...\firephp-extension\packages\firebug, exception = [Exception... "Component returned failure code: 0x80520011 (NS_ERROR_FILE_NAME_TOO_LONG) [nsIFile.create]"  nsresult: "0x80520011 (NS_ERROR_FILE_NAME_TOO_LONG)"  location: "JS frame :: file:///C:/Program%20Files/Mozilla%20Firefox/components/nsExtensionManager.js :: extractExtensionFiles :: line 1635"  data: no]

The NS_ERROR_FILE_NAME_TOO_LONG error is also triggered for some files when extension is installed manually (as during development) and executed.

If files are packaged into jar files narwhal-xulrunner engine cannot access them yet.

no console output

although my server is returning the firephp headers, i get no messages in the console. In the Net panel, i can see the headers:
X-Wf-Protocol-1 http://meta.wildfirehq.org/Protocol/JsonStream/0.2
X-Wf-1-Plugin-1 http://meta.firephp.org/Wildfire/Plugin/FirePHP/Library-FirePHPCore/0.3
X-Wf-1-Structure-1 http://meta.firephp.org/Wildfire/Structure/FirePHP/FirebugConsole/0.1
X-Wf-1-1-1-1 96|[{"Type":"LOG","File":"/home/managetest/lib/class/Base.class.php","Line":73},"field is ''"]|

I'm using: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US; rv:1.9.1.7) Gecko/20100106 Ubuntu/9.04 (jaunty) Shiretoko/3.5.7
Firebug v. 1.4.5
I've disabled normal FirePHP using the extension manager when I installed FireConsole (0.0.0master1002082041)

Fix resource URLs: resource:\narwhal

I started to report on FireConsole + Firebug but I didn't get toob far...I get a ton of error messages like

tabCache.loadFromCache EXCEPTION on url 'resource:\narwhal\engines\default\lib\json.js' Component returned failure code: 0x80040111(NS_ERROR_NOT_AVAILABLE) [nsIIOService.newChannel]

because I guess the backslashes are not legal in urls.

/r not removed from variable viewer

When viewing a string that contains newlines and return characters "\r\n", the log shows the characters directly (which is fine) but the variable viewer doesn't remove them both.

Example:
Log entry:
"String with a\r\nNewline"

Variable viewer:
"String with a\r

Newline"

It makes it difficult to read and/or copy a variable.

No console data, no enable button, very broken

I recall having a little trouble that time too, but eventually I got FireConsole working. I know I had both FirePHP and FireConsole installed at some point, both plugins started displaying in the console and I removed FirePHP and FIreConsole continued to work alone.

So, I had this all working, before I reinstalled my user account on my iMac.

I installed FireBug stable and FireConsole Alpha today on FF 3.6.3 Nothing was showing up in the console, the FireConsole Button didn't have an enable button. I tried FB alpha version, no luck. I installed the FirePHP plugin and IT works, but not FireConsole.

FireConsole's button still only shows a few options, which when I click each, do nothing.

NarwhalRunner is mostly blank too, with Clear and Copy buttons only.

no variable viewer

using Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US; rv:1.9.2) Gecko/20100124 Ubuntu/9.04 (jaunty) Firefox/3.6
Firebug 1.5.0

i am sending an associative array via firephp, but i cannot view the contents of the array. in the console, where the array would be displayed i get this:
dictionary(... 1 ...)

when i mouse over it, i get info about where in my code this dictionary was sent from. however, clicking accomplishes nothing -- the variable viewer does not come up.
