About

This inegration is meant to create a climate entity to integrate your Windmill AC into Home Assistant.

Setup

  • Install via HACS
  • Setup for this should be pretty simple, you'll need your devices Auth Token to configure the entity after installing the integation
  • Your Auth Token should be visibile on the "Devices" tab of your Windmill Air Dashboard

Maintence / Support

  • This is not an offical integration. It is not associated, maintained, supported, or endorsed by Windmill. Windmill is a young company, their tech might change, and this might break.
  • I'll do my best to maintian this, and welcome the community's support/feedback/contributions. I do not offer any guarenttee, warrenty, etc. for any of ya'lls hardware, software, devices, etc. Use at your own risk.
  • This is a v1. Hoping to improve state managment and code quality first and foremost.

windmillac's Issues

Entity moves between devices upon reboot

I have 3 Windmill AC devices added to HA. However, only one entity is available. Two things I want to flag:

  1. After providing the Auth Token, it takes a full reboot for HA to recognize the device. Not a problem, but mentioning as it may be related to the following:
  2. After each reboot, the entity moves from device to device in seemingly random order. Whichever device the entity lands on, that is the device the entity controls (regardless of which Auth Token was provided to set up that entity's original device).

Is it possible to have more than one device (and thus entities) with this integration?

HA 2024.7.3

Thank you!

How to find Auth Token?

I'm having a little trouble. The Auth Token is not available on Windmill Air app under Devices, or on their site. Any ideas where I might be able to find it? Thanks!

Error Adding Integration

I’m on the newest version of HA (2024.7.0) and am trying to add the integration. I had the error, and redownloaded the addon.

This is the error I’m getting:

Config flow could not be loaded: {"message":"Invalid handler specified"}

Fan Speed Control with HomeKit Bridge

Can control temp, mode and fan speed in home assistant. When using HomeKit Bridge integration in Home Assistant, I can’t control fan speed from iOS Home app.
