I used the latest version and it gives this traceback:

AttributeError: 'datetime.date' object has no attribute 'astimezone'

Place the timezone in the config file instead of hard coded.

Config option to set SSL or no SSL for sending email.

I cneeded to change
server = smtplib.SMTP_SSL(host=smtp_server)
to
server = smtplib.SMTP(host=smtp_server)

to get it to work.

If i try to fetch the bytespeicher-ics and send it through gmail-smpt, i get an encode-error while sending...

UnicodeEncodeError: 'ascii' codec can't encode character u'\xfc' in position 512: ordinal not in range(128)

The events are in the chronologic wrong order but in the order of the iCal creation date. Sorting should be like in the Bytebot dates.py plugin.
