Currently the replacement algorithm fires every second, but sets a timeout for 5 seconds each time a key press is detected. This works well enough, but it isn't perfect.

Often, you'll type something but need to stop and think before continuing. If you think for longer than 5 seconds, the replacement functionality will reset the cursor to the beginning of the line. The whole point of this extension is for you to not notice it's there, as the surprise of coming across a "Buttgers" is what it's for.

Sites that allow text entry have a lot of DOM mutations and Buttgers currently reacts to every single one. This can at best make those sites very sluggish and at worst (looking at you Jira) can lock it up entirely.

Implement some sort of frequency limit for handling DOM mutations. It's okay if there's a delay such that the user sees "Buttgers" for a few seconds.
