solartracer-485's Issues

Generated energy

Hi there,

First of all, thank you for publishing this. It really helped me to set things up here at our offgrid project Tao. I used to have windows pc running the solar monitor but wanted to have this running on raspberry pi along several other things. I got it all to work and now customising it. I am trying to understand the following as I could not understand what I was seeing. The number was too high to be true...I wish I was generating 50KWh a day :D

powerGen = (((python /home/pi/dashboard/solar_dashboard/jobs/getRegister.py 0x330C).to_f * 100) / 12.0).round(2)

Reading this document: http://www.solar-elektro.cz/data/dokumenty/1733_modbus_protocol.pdf
It seems we need to read from both registers and then combine the values?

I was just wondering what are your thoughts on that before I dive into it.

Found this if it helps:

Thanks!
