language-gitignore's Introduction

Syntax Highlighting for .gitignore Files in Atom

MIT License

Atom Package Atom Package Downloads

Adds syntax highlighting to .gitignore files in Atom.

Header Blocks

A "Header Block" is started and ended by a line that begins with # followed by any character(s) (except a space), and ended by another #. (See the gitignore sample file for an example of a valid "Header Block").

language-gitignore's Issues

.npmignore

Can this plugin also support syntax highlighting for .npmignore?

Syntax highlighting fails after "#!**/somefolder/somefile.txt"

!**/packages/build/
# Uncomment if necessary however generally it will be regenerated when needed
#!**/packages/repositories.config
# NuGet v3's project.json files produces more ignoreable files

You'll see the last line in this example is never syntax highlighted properly as the prior line seems to break it.

Package.loadSettings is deprecated.

Store package settings files in the settings/ directory instead of scoped-properties/

Package.loadSettings (C:\Users\Benjamin\AppData\Local\atom\app-0.189.0\resources\app\src\package.js:565:9)
<unknown> (C:\Users\Benjamin\AppData\Local\atom\app-0.189.0\resources\app\src\package.js:187:43)

Weird comments behaviour

For some reason comments that start with #* or #- don’t register as a commented line. Anything after # should be a comment.
