Several changes have been made to the colour palette recently, and can be seen in the Brightspace Daylight Design System. These should be adopted here, with a major version bump to reflect the breaking change.

Where possible, backwards compatibility should be maintained -- for example if colours have just been renamed we can keep the old ones around as an alias.

List of changes:

• Several colours renamed to be consistent with the original Carbon12 naming convention of minerals and gemstones:
  • Woolonardo was renamed to Sylvite
  • Titanius was renamed to Mica
  • Pressicus was renamed to Corundum
  • Deephonica was renamed to Malachite
  • Koolaudica was renamed to Peridot
  • Lurite was renamed to Topaz
  • Panthera was renamed to Tourmaline
  • Violettine was renamed to Amethyst
• The following colours were removed from the palette, due to being too similar to others:
  • Chartronic
  • Azurite
  • Saphirella
  • Gravah
  • Celestuba
• The following colour was added to fill in a gap in the palette (Blue-Violet): Fluorite
• Additional tints and shades have been added for each palette colour, to provide for more variety in illustrations
